We don't get a traditional postcard autumn here, peak bloom season is just starting. While I'm thrilled about the bugs dying off soon and the eventual start of open window/outdoor season, I miss the pine forests and hills, the changing colors, the crisp air, and all the smells that accompany fall. So while we were visiting family and friends we made a point of soaking up some of that too and headed up the mountains. There's just something therapeutic about hanging out with the trees.

I love all of your pictures of the fall leaves...so beautiful. It was fun to see you guys if only for a minute! It is always hard at those family functions because there are so many people to see and it is hard to find time to chat with everyone. I did get to sit by your cute kids at the luncheon though. I loved that Aisa got up and shared some of her thoughts and favorite memories of Grandpa...that was very sweet!
